Julie is a new face to Tasmania, having lived in Melbourne for over 20 years. Her move brings the promise of fresh air, good food and space for a veggie patch.
From Perth, via Melbourne, Julie is now living and loving the Hobart lifestyle. Her move to Tasmania brings the promise of fresh air, good food, space for a veggie patch and (importantly) free entry to Mona! A Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Studies and a career background in the travel industry has led her to make many trips to Japan to indulge her interest in the country and culture; she is a member of Hobart’s Taiko Drum group.
In previous roles Julie has worked as a Graphic Designer for a number of organisations; before joining Futago she was an in-house designer for the communications team at Yarra City Council for 8 years. She has experience in print, pre-press, marketing and promotions to complement her design skills, and boasts an eagle eye for typos as a key skill. This along with her incredibly organised approach to projects makes Julie a key player at Team Futago.
When not in the office she’s out and about exploring Hobart, writing a book on walking in Japan and working on her Ukulele skills.
