Livio Tobler

Born In Switzerland. Went to primary school in Launceston, Tas;  high school on the Sunshine Coast, Qld; University in Sydney, NSW. I’ve moved back to Tasmania for a tree change and the fresh air.

I completed my certificate IV at Enmore Design Centre and my diploma at CATC Design school in Sydney.  I’ve worked in hospitality for the majority of my working life. I interned at a tech startup as a user experience/interface designer and have also undertaken small freelance jobs for the last year. I always enjoyed drawing and and building things as a child and still do. A personality trait that i bring to my work would be my mild OCD.

Our Swiss-born intern continues our trend in diverse cultural backgrounds! Although, we reckon he’s pretty much an Aussie – Livio’s family emigrated to Australia while he was young, and he spent his school years in both Tasmania and Queensland. Livio has tested out a few careers, including technical drawing and engineering before realizing graphic design was more his thing.

He studied at both Enmore Design Centre and CATC Design Schools in Sydney, and spent his spare time interning for a tech startup designing the interface for a Facebook-rivalling social media app. When that failed to take over the world, he took a job in Switzerland working as a chauffeur at a Russian-owned hotel, and like the best graphic designers has done his fair share of hospitality jobs.

Livio is the seventh intern in our Futago intern program, and is in some pretty esteemed company. Find out more about the program and meet our previous interns.

Fat Pig Farm

I love how the branding of Fat Pig Farm matches the personality of the farm itself. It’s bright and confident but a little rough round the edges – meaning it works well on a high-end restaurant menu or a jar of jam.
