| FUTAGO is
a boutique design studio, specialising in graphic design and environmental
design.
Futago builds on a tradition of working, creating
and formulating ideas collaboratively. Meaning twins in Japanese,
Futago was established by identical twin sisters Kate and Sarah
Owen in 2004.
As of May 2006 Futago is directed by Kate
Owen & Daniel Zika.
See our staff profiles for more info on the designers behind Futago.

The scope of Futago's work includes web design,
packaging, identity, art catalogues, book design, signage, environmental
graphics and interpretation design. Working in a small capital city
has allowed Futago the opportunity to work on variously scaled projects
across a range of mediums producing a dynamic and diverse multi-disciplinary
design portfolio. The focus is on producing high quality design
while investing time in experimenting with new ideas and pushing
design and production boundaries. With this exploratory approach,
comes a goal of expanding the practice into product design and architecture.
