CLIENT: Gandy and Roberts Consulting Engineers
PROJECT: New Identity
BRIEF: Gandy and Roberts is a mid-sized consulting engineering firm established by two, now semi-retired engineers in the 1980's. The current directors sought out a new identity to match their newly renovated offices. Pushing the boundaries and attention to detail has built a healthy network of repeat clients and acclaim amongst the architectural community in Tasmania. The new identity reflects this success as well as their unique philosophy and approach. The carefully illustrated blimps, balloons and sky hooks - taken from the Iconographic Encyclopaedia by J. G. Heck - were chosen to represent Gandy and Roberts for both their air of invention and their subtle reference to the everyday challenge undertaken by engineers to work with physical laws like gravity.
